I played around a lot with canteenas for WiFi. The one that came the most highly recommended are the Pringle’s cans. What I found through experimentation is that the best can to use is actually a standard Maxwell house coffee can. This is of course some function of a wavelength. at 2.? GHz. A Maxwell house coffee can with the rite element spacing will actually give you +6 dB of gain and is highly directional.

Reverse Polarity SMA connectors:

For those of you who have looked at the reverse SMA connectors that come on all WiFi cards and wondered what that means? It is simply a unique connector that only fits WiFi so some dummy doesn’t connect a VHF anteena or the like to it.
